Bob Espy

Mr. Robert (Bob) W. Espy IV is a life-long resident of DeKalb County and the Smoke Rise Community. 


Bob believes in giving back to his community, as demonstrated by his commitment to various non-profit organizations in the Atlanta area.  He is a member of the Community Council for Zoning & Planning for District 1 (DeKalb County) where he is Vice Chairman, is a member of the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce through the DeKalb Association of REALTORS®, and is Vice Chairman of the Zoning Board of Appeals for The City of Tucker.  Mr. Espy was the 2015 President of The DeKalb Association of REALTORS®.  He has served as President-Elect, Vice President of Political Affairs, Dean of the Leadership Academy, and has served and/or Chaired many of the committees.  


He is also a member of the Georgia Association of REALTORS® where he has served on most of their committees while serving as Chairman for some.  In 2019, Mr. Espy was awarded the Realtor of the Year by both the DeKalb and Georgia Associations being one of thirty six individuals recognized nationally out of 1.4 million Realtors for that achievement.  The Georgia Association of REALTORS also presented him the Young Professionals Award.   Mr. Espy owns and operates Espy Real Estate & Development Company and is a member of the Georgia Multiple Listing Service’s Board of Directors.  


He has served in multiple positions with the following organizations:  DeKalb Works Committee,  Tucker Civic Association Board of  Directors (Past President), Tucker Community Foundation (current Chairman), Main Street Tucker Alliance Board of Directors, Tucker/Northlake CID Board of Directors (current Chairman of Transportation), Tucker Business Association Board of Directors (current Treasurer), Tucker Historical Society Board of Directors, Boy Scouts of America – Troop 21 (Treasurer), Free Masonry: Past Master and 32º Degree Scottish Rite and a Noble of the Mystic Shrine, Past President of The DeKalb History Center, Ministry Leadership Council for Decatur First United Methodist Church, Simpsonwood Retreat and Conference Center Board of Directors. 


Mr. Espy’s passions are family, history, real estate, his community, and venture capital opportunities to name a few.
