I joined the Smoke Signal Staff about a year ago looking to contribute an occasional article with a focus on Smoke Rise community business and real estate. Since then, I have written features, news and contributed the real estate stats that are often included. I created and maintain the website which houses the digital versions of the Smoke Signal and the FaceBook page. The digital copy is posted about the first of the month at www.smokerisenews.com
Writing has always been a part of my life including over 300 copyrighted publications mainly focused on the real estate business. In addition to being an instructor, author and speaker, I have been a top selling agent in four out of four companies in three different states and licensed for over 35 years.
Now as a part of my goal to become more involved in my community and significantly reduce business travel, I am putting my broker’s license back to work as the listing and marketing lead for the Smoke Rise Agents Team of Realty Associates LLC. I have found that I really enjoy working in real estate again and helping neighbors directly and love being able to deliver tangible results.
Involvement and contribution to my community has always been important. I am active in several organizations including Tucker Business Association, DeKalb Association of Realtors and GFWC Stone Mountain Woman's Club.
My service has included Smoke Rise Country Club Board, Spencers Mountain Homeowners Association, CASA, serving in elected office, many charitable and civic organizations and on International, National and State industry technology committees.
When I find a bit of free time, my hobbies include golf, cooking, entertaining, reading, writing, and gardening. Mark, my husband and I have raised six kids – two of our own and four from challenged families, all grown and now successful on their own.
